A weekend of beer, pies and kebabs

-

A THREE day homage to beer, pies and kebabs takes place at a landmark West Lancashire pub this weekend.

Crowds are expected to flock to the annual Beer, Pie and Kebab Festival, which takes place at The Ship at Lathom, from Friday (March 31), until Sunday (April 2).

Promoters The Venue at the End of the Universe has now finalised the music line-up for the event.

On Friday night, it’s Wagontown, who bring their own unique bluegrass style to classic pop and rock songs.

Saturday afternoon kicks off with One for The Road, an excellent Irish folk duo, making a swift return to the Ship following their recent barnstorming performance on St Patrick’s day. After that it’s Will Tang, providing a taste of Blues Music at its very best.

Saturday evening it’s Incredible Planet, who always give a rip-roaring performance and have their audience singing and dancing.

Sunday afternoon brings Scho, one man, one guitar, one heck of a performer, not to be missed. And finally on Sunday afternoon, to bring a little bit of calm after a wild weekend of beer, pies, kebabs, and live music, it’s singer/ songwriter Ian Bailey who will be performing a selection of his own songs as well as the likes of Dylan, Donovan and Simon & Garfunkel; the perfect way to round off the weekend.
