Pool ideas for area at action day
WEST Lancashire Community Safety Partnership (CSP) is inviting residents to join in a Community Action Day.
It’s a chance for people to meet representatives from West Lancashire borough council, police, fire service officers and other agencies to improve working relationships, increase community confidence and reduce the fear of crime in their neighbourhood.
Community Action Days have already taken place in the Little Digmoor and Digmoor districts of Skelmersdale.
Four more are to take place – starting from today – at Tanhouse, Old Skelmersdale, Moorside and Scott Estate in Ormskirk.
Cllr Kevin Wright, portfolio holder in West Lancashire for community safety, said: “I hope residents will take part in the community action days, use the skips and talk to staff from the council, police and other agencies about any concerns they have about crime, community safety and other issues.”
The community skips funded by the CSP will be on site from 9.30am and removed the same day once full.
The events take place on:
Thursday, August 10 at Moorside, Near Digmoor Parade.
Tuesday, August 15 in car park at Tanhouse, Ennerdale.
Wednesday, August 16 at Old Skelmersdale, High Street, Woodrow.
Thursday, August 17 at Scott Estate, Scott Drive.
