showcasing the high-quality produce that we harvest on a daily basis.”

“The team relished the challenge that came with supplying an event of this kind and size, making sure that everything ran without a hitch and to the high standard expected.” CHARITIES and community groups in Lancashire are urged to apply for up to £2,000 of funding through the E.ON Energising Communities Fund – for which the deadline has now been extended to August 14.

To be eligible for funding organisations must submit a request which supports activities that help bring about a reduction in their own energy use, help generate energy from a renewable source, or provide energy efficiency advice for local people.

Groups can apply for funding of up to £2,000 which may cover the full or partial cost of energyrelated improvements and activities.

Suzanne Doxey, E.ON community relations manager, said: “We’ve extended the deadline for applications and I’d encourage local community groups and charities to check out the website and see if their project qualifies for funding.

“We look forward to receiving applications from Lancashire.”
