Probe into cause of house fire

FIRE­FIGHT­ERS are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a con­ser­va­tory fire which started in Ruf­ford on Sun­day

Lan­cashire Fire and Res­cue Ser­vice sent two fire en­gines to the house, in Brick Kiln Lane, when the blaze broke out at about 7.30am.

No-one was hurt dur­ing the in­ci­dent.

An LFRS spokesman said: “Two fire en­gines from Orm­skirk and Chor­ley were called to a house fire on Brick Kiln Lane, Ruf­ford. Fire­fight­ers used two breath­ing ap­pa­ra­tus, one hose reel and a ven­ti­la­tion unit to ex­tin­guish the fire in­volv­ing a con­ser­va­tory. No in­juries were re­ported and the cause is un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.”
