Mum slams ‘impatient’ taxi driver’s road rage

-

A MUM has issued a message to an “impatient and angry taxi driver”.

The mum went out on a drive on Sunday morning (January 23) with her daughter who had recently passed her driving test in a bid to build her confidence.

But she claims an “impatient” taxi driver came up behind the car and started beeping and waving his arms while shouting at her daughter.

Despite the car having green P plates on the car, she claims the taxi driver proceeded to undertake her.

The mum shared the ordeal on a local Facebook group after being shocked at the experience. She also urged people to be considerate towards new drivers.

She posted: “First morning out with my daughter after she has passed her driving test.

“She was driving around Maghull trying to build confidence and the main thing I was repeating to her was just be safe, don’t take chances and be confident.

“She was doing really well until a very impatient taxi driver started beeping and giving her the arms and shouting to go at a junction that is renowned for accidents, then undertook her.

“She had green P plates on too. Please be thoughtful towards new drivers give them a bit of extra space and time...we have all been new drivers at some point.

“Let’s all not be like that impatient angry taxi driver.”

People were quick to support the new driver in the comments.

One person commented: “Couldn’t agree more my daughter is still learning we take her out L plates on the amount of impatient drivers who try to overtake learners because they won’t wait is unbelievable.

“I agree we should give them space and time we were all learner drivers at some point some people have very short memories shame on you should be prosecuted.”

Another wrote: “Awful man, don’t let anyone make you rush. I’ve been driving for a long time and I remember my instructor saying if it’s rushed it’s wrong.

“Do what you think is right not what stupid people want you to do. Good luck and congratulations for passing your driving test.”
