Prestigious hotel to expand bedroom offering
A PRESTIGIOUS restaurant and hotel will add more “beautiful” bedrooms in time for summer.
Moor Hall in Aughton, which already boasts two Michelin stars, is looking to expand its accommodation offerings.
As it stands, the establishment has five luxury bedrooms in Moor Hall itself, with an additional two in their gatehouse by the lake.
But if you’re looking to visit later this year, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find out there will be an additional seven rooms added to their repertoire.
Speaking to Chef Patron Mark Birchall about the changes, he said: “They’re going to be amazing.
“They’re going to be these beautiful garden rooms, with burnt larch cladding.
This tiny, unassuming village is the obvious place for a better Michelin star ratio than Tokyo.
“They’re going to be fantastic with beautiful, sustainable properties about them. So you can’t have fires in them because they will be that well-insulated, but they will have things like hot tubs and will be absolutely beautiful.”
Mark says the rooms will be online soon and available to book this summer.
Currently, Moor Hall boasts rooms such as the Mulberry Room described as their “indulgent and spacious room” with views to the lake and gardens from the front, side and rear.
There’s also the Rosehip Room, with window seats and traditional sash windows that are ideal for a visitor who is looking to appreciate Moor Hall’s incredible and picturesque surroundings.
The Damson Room has an ‘Emperor Bed’ opposite a desk and original fireplace, as well as a fully-vaulted ceiling exposing the intricate oak framework.
Clearly, Moor Hall puts just as much thought into their accommodation as they do their food.
