All about birds
Paisley Natural History Society will host a talk on the Bearded Reedling in the spring.
This bird is a rare passerine and is so dependent on reed bed habitats that it may spend its entire life within a single reed bed stand.
Despite being widespread throughout Europe, only 600 inhabit the UK, making it a specially protected species.
PhD student Iain Malzer will explain the situation at Paisley Museum on Thursday, April 6, at 7.30pm.
