Academy is doing a great job, says boss

St Mirren’s youth academy is one of the best in the entire country, says Jack Ross.

The manager is incredibly proud of what the club’s youth are doing for the reputation of the club.

As well as helping to develop a new crops of kids that got into the first time this year, there are more on the way ready to make the step up.

Looking at yesaterday’s move, both McAllister who was sold as well as new signing McGinn have made big moves in their careers after coming through the Paisley academy.

Jack Ross said:“All of this reflects very well on the academy.

“It’s one of the things the club has been known for over the years and it will continue.

“All I can do is praise the coaches and the youngsters themselves as it takes a lot of hard work.

“We keep producing good players and that’s something to be proud of.

“The next step is to get in a position where we can keep them long term.”
