Keeping it in the family

-

It’s a family affair for workers at Mecca Bingo in Paisley.

For many, Mother’s Day is an opportunity to spend time with mum, but for a mum who works with two daughter colleagues at Mecca, every day is a bonding opportunity.

Caroline Campbell, 51, has been working at the company since 2006, with daughters Laura, 28 and Dawn, 26, joining in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

With 22 years combined service at the local bingo club, a shared passion for customer service and for helping the community - the trio have taken part in a cycle challenge for Carers Trust.

They have also been involved in collecting toys at Christmas for the local hospitals.

Caroline said: “Mecca is a family focussed company and so it’s very fitting that I get to work side by side with Laura and Dawn, my mum even used to play in the club too.

“Our colleagues think it’s great that we all work together and our managers joke that we are trying to take over.

“Laura and Dawn even have girls of their own, so we could have more mini Mecca members in the making!”

Grant Munro, general manager at Mecca Paisley said: “Caroline, Laura and Dawn are a brilliant trio and work together fantastically; they inspire everyone here to work hard as a team - it’s like one big happy family at work.

“They are loved by the customers and colleagues alike and are truly an asset to our club.”
