Charity barbecue
The RAMH charity is celebrating summer with a free barbecue.
The mental health organisation is firing up the grill for a day of food and fun.
Booze is banned from the bash, which aims to show drink is not needed for a good time.
Service manager Paul Henderson said: “Alcohol affects mood and impacts physical health, both of which affect wellbeing.
“Th e b a r b e c u e is an opportunity to get information and support to give people the confidence to reduce their alcohol intake, look at alternatives, and to make other healthy changes in their lives.
“People can find out more about alcohol support and reduction strategies, connect with services and learn more about mental health support.
“It’s chance to simply enjoy our lovely garden with great food and good company.
“We are looking forward to welcoming everyone.”
Chefs will rustle up chicken, fish, salads and veggie kebabs, alongside a range of healthy drinks.
The party takes place at the RAMH base on Blackstoun Road, Paisley, on June 23 between noon and 4pm.
It is part of Brighter Renfrewshire Alcohol Awareness Week, which runs from June 19 to 23. No booking is necessary. RAMH promotes recovery from mental ill health, and empowers people to build independent, fulfilled lives.
The charity supports a range of diagnoses, including depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder.
