You could take part in Lisa’s new video
A Paisley singer is taking to the streets of her hometown to film her new music video – and she wants you to join in.
Lisa Kowalski, 17, wrote Hearts of Gold about her experiences busking in Paisley from the age of 14.
And with the help of young arts organisation Create Paisley, she’ll be filming a video around the town on Saturday, October 14.
The song includes the lyrics:“And the streets are paved with hearts of gold, as the people stop to listen and appreciate the stories that I’ve told.”
Lisa said:“I love Hearts of Gold because it tells such a personal story and reflects how much I love Paisley.
“I wasn’t the happiest of 14-yearolds and it gave me such a confidence boost to know people appreciated my music and that it could cheer up their Saturday morning for a while.
“As I have progressed on my musical journey, the support I have received from local people, businesses and the Paisley 2021 campaign has been amazing.
“I want the video to show how grateful I am and what a great place Paisley is.”
Lisa has been awarded funding from Renfrewshire’s Culture Heritage and Events Fund to make the video which will be filmed on the High Street and around some of Paisley’s landmarks, referencing the song’s mention of the town’s impressive architecture.
