OAP sex attack claims

A 68-year-old man has denied historic sex offences against two children in Paisley.

Alexander Watt is also alleged to have assaulted the youngsters, along with a third child, in the 80s.

He appeared in the dock at Paisley Sheriff Court this week to deny the five charges of assault and lewd, indecent and libidinous behaviour.

I t ’ s claimed Wa t t repeatedly kissed a girl aged between four and eight on the body, exposed himself and forced her to touch him.

He is also said to have assaulted the same girl when she was aged between five and 10 by striking her body and exposed buttocks with his hand, a wooden chopping board, a belt, wooden spoons and sticks.

Watt also denies a charge of using lewd, indecent libidinous practices against a boy aged between seven and nine. It’s alleged that he touched the boy’s privates, and forced the child to touch him. He is also said to have performed a sex act on himself in front of the boy.

It’s alleged he assaulted the same boy when he was aged between six and 11 by striking him with his hand,a wet flannel, a slipper, a belt and a cane.

He is also accused of assaulting a second boy, aged between six and eight by hitting him on the body with a slipper and a belt.

Watt, of Dumbarton, is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court next month.
