Dementia care invite
Alzheimer Scotland is inviting people living with dementia in Renfrewshire – and their families – to an event.
This is to help people get to know the third national dementia strategy for Scotland.
It aims to transform services to ensure people with dementia get the support they need, at all ages and stages of the illness.
Since it launched in June, it has been largely welcomed by the Alzheimer Scotland charity for its long- term commitment to improving the lives of people with dementia and those who care for them.
The national dementia charity now aims to bring together communities to help shed light on the next steps in dementia care across Scotland.
Express readers affected by dementia are being invited to Alzheimer Scotland’s Renfrewshire Services, 32 Riccartsbar Avenue, Paisley, on Wednesday, November 22, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
You can meet with Alzheimer Scotland staff to hear about up-and-coming changes and to discuss how the new strategy will affect you.
If you would like to attend on November 22, phone dementia advisor Iain Houston on 0141 410 5309 or 07787 448 519.
You can also email him at ihouston@alzscot.org
As well as discussing the third dementia strategy, there will be light refreshments and the chance to review local projects and activities taking place.
