Woman hurt in smash
A woman was rushed to hospital after a crash at a busy Paisley junction.
Two cars collided at the junction between Mill Street and Glasgow Road at around 2.45pm yesterday afternoon.
The incident involved a red Ford Fiesta and a silver Vauxhall Corsa.
Motorists suffered lengthy tailbacks following the crash, with police directing traffic away from the scene as the cars were uplifted.
Following the smash, a woman was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
Police were unable to comment on the woman’s condition last night.
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said:“We received a call at 2.43pm on Monday to attend an incident on Glasgow Road.
“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene.
“One female was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital.”
