Motorist ‘caused collision’
A motorist drove dangerously and caused a bus to collide with his vehicle in Paisley’s Neilston Road, it has been claimed.
Jason Connelly, 47, of Main Street, Neilston, is said to have driven too close to the bus and to have overtaken at a traffic island when it was unsafe to do so.
He is alleged to have caused the vehicle to brake sharply, causing the collision to happen on August 10 last year.
Connelly is also alleged to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear and alarm to others by shouting and swearing, and to have assaulted David Martin by pushing him.
When the case against him was called in court, he lodged a not guilty plea.
A trial was set for March 14 with a pre- trial intermediate diet in place on February 15 .
