Organisers of a huge benefit event to support two families devastated by cancer have announced two headline acts.

Scots X Factor stars Emily Middlemas and the Cutkelvins will take to the stage at the Paisley Lagoon for the L& L Love Aid spectacular.

The event has been arranged to support the relatives and friends of little Layla Greene and Leighanne Sanderson, both from Renfrew.

Three-year-old Layla tragically lost her cancer battle with neuroblastoma last month, and mum- of- one Leighanne, 38, is bravely battling the disease.

After so much tragedy, one dance school decided to bring some light to the town.

Students from the Jazzle Dazzle dance school began putting together a huge event which has taken on a life of its own, as schools and clubs from across the region get involved.

And with news that singing sensation Emily Middlemas, who met young Layla, and the Cutkelvins have confirmed they will take part.

Jackie Bryceland, owner of Jazzle Dazzle, said: “L&L Love Aid is shaping up to be such an amazing day.

“And now we have confirmed Emily and the Cutkelvins, it has just got even better. We have a full day concert planned with loads of dances schools and clubs from across Renfrewshire taking part all to support two local families who have been devastated by cancer.

“Not only do we have Emily and the Cutkelvins, who everyone will know from the X Factor but we have a whole list of other really good acts signed up.

“It will be a really positive event for Paisley and will hopefully raise money to support Leighanne’s son Kieran and towards cancer research.”

Also on the bill will be Men of Motown, Tartan Belles, Emily Crow and many more.

The club has raised more than £ 1,000 through the hard work of students, with four aged 12 youngster from the club, Jemma Bruce, Megan Storey, Rachel Bryceland and Jami Patrick are taking the lead.

The showcase will be held at the Paisley lagoon on Saturday, March 31, between 10am and 4pm and tickets are on sale from March 10 at the Prince of Wales Hall between 9am and noon on a first come, first served basis.
