Pool to shut for repair

-

Fun for swimmers in one Renfrewshire town is drying up over the next few months.

Essential maintenance work is earmarked for Erskine swimming pool.

Starting from April 23, work is set to continue for eight weeks.

Those who use the pool for swimming lessons will be relocated to other pools.

Joyce McKellar, chief executive of Renfrewshire Leisure said: “Our aim to provide leisure facilities of the highest standard to our customers and to do that at Erskine swimming pool, we are carrying out this maintenance work.

“We aim to cause the least disruption to our customers by having this work done outwith the Easter and summer school holidays.

“Our other pools in Renfrewshire – the Victory Baths, in Renfrew; Lagoon Leisure Centre, in Paisley; The ON-X, in Linwood and Johnstone Sports Hub – will be open to welcome visitors from the Erskine area.

“I hope our customers will understand this work needs to be carried out and to do that we have to drain the pool, let it dry out completely before re-tiling and re-grouting takes place.

“Once the work is completed, customers can look forward to an even better swimming experience at Erskine swimming pool.”
