Paisley Daily Express - - The Neil Deal -

Here we go again, or so we all thought, as Nathan Austin fired Falkirk into a 1-0 lead after just two minutes of the new season.

But St Mir ren’s grit and determination to make this season a success was evident from day one as goals from Stelios, Cammy Smith and Gavin Reilly sealed a comeback victory on the opening day of the season.

It wasn’t all plain sailing as Saints were humbled 4- 1 the following weekend by Morton.

Jack Baird’s red card did little to help the Saints cause but still the heads didn’t go down.

Another red card wasn’t far away at Almondvale the next week with Gary Irvine the guilty party after just 33 minutes. With the score sitting at 1-1 it didn’t look good, but Reilly was again the saviour with two goals to seal a 3-1 win.

But the best was saved for the last game of the month as Lewis Morgan tore Dundee United to shreds, while Ian McShane added another in a 3-0 win.
