Fair was just the job
The Tannahill Centre played host to a number of businesses looking to hire new people at a successful jobs fair.
Organisers Invest in Renfrewshire invited along more than 25 employers including colleges, businesses and the armed forces with lots of people going along to look for vacancies.
Invest in Renfrewshire’s assistant economic development manager Laura Neil said: “We welcomed the opportunity to work with Ferguslie Park Housing Association to deliver a range of job opportunities for local people.
“More than 25 employers and training providers attended and all are keen to attend a future jobs fair.”
The Tannahill Centre is owned by Ferguslie Park Housing Association. Its interim chief executive Lynn McCulloch said: “We were pleased to welcome so many organisations and potential employers to the event.
“More importantly we were delighted with the number of local people who came along.
“We know that some of them have already landed jobs as a result of the jobs fair which is great news.”
