Accord supporters invited to see unit revamp

-

Paisley’s Accord Hospice is inviting all of its supporters to attend open sessions at its newly-refurbished inpatient unit.

The charity says this is a great opportunity for people who have helped pay for Accord’s ambitious refurbishment to see what a difference it has made.

Chief executive Helen R Simpson said: “Whilst this occasion will allow our supporters to see the impact of how donations made by them, over the past 36 years, have assisted Accord in refurbishing the inpatient unit, it is also an opportunity to learn more about what we do for local people.

“Sometimes it can be hard to set foot in a hospice for the first time, but we want to assure every one of a warm welcome and a very positive experience.

“As a local charity we know how important it is to be at the heart of the community.

“We rely on voluntary donations to keep our doors open and ensure that our compassionate and supportive palliative and end of life care remains free of charge to those who need it.

“Meeting people at the open sessions will be a good way to say a personal thankyou to our supporters.”

The open sessions are being held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, July 16, 17, and 18 from 11am to noon, and from 2pm to 3pm.

Other dates and times are available.

To arrange, call Brian Hunter, clinical services manager, on 0141 581 2000.

This is also the number to arrange to attend the scheduled sessions.
