Building works could soon be going on at homes and businesses in Renfrewshire.

Planning permission must be granted from council chiefs before improvements can go ahead.

Recent applications made to the local authority include:

 Installtion of a metal chimney at Mansewood Lodge, East End, Lochwinnoch

 Demolition of dwellinghouse and erection of a residential development (in principle) at Boghouse, 3 Woodside Road, Brookfield

 Display of internally illuminated fascia sign at 71 Montrose Avenue, Hillington Park, Glasgow

 Erection of a single-storey extension to the rear of 8 Ramsay Crescent, Kilbarchan

 Request for a screening opinion for a residential development at the main building and grounds, Dykebar Hospital, Grahamston Road, Paisley

 Formation of dormer to the rear of 48 Moorpark Square, Renfrew
