Appeal by police after Charlie, 14, goes missing

Police are appealing for help to trace a teenager who was last seen in Paisley.

Charlie Car ter was last seen at 7.45pm on Monday evening at Gilmour Street train station in Paisley.

She is described as white, 5ft 4in tall with a slim build, wavy fair hair, blue eyes and a nose piercing.

The last time she was seen, she was wearing a black jacket with a fur hood, a mustard crop top, blue jeans and white trainers.

Sergeant Laura Stewart, Greenock Police Office, said: “Charlie is only 14 years old and her family are increasing­ly concerned the more time passes without hearing from her.

“We have reason to believe she may have been travelling to Glasgow.”

Charlie is from Greenock and officers have been searching the local area.

Sergeant Stewart added: “Officers have been searching the local area and spoken with friends but so far no one has seen or heard from her.

“If y o u have any informatio­n about where she is, then please contact Greenock Police Office on 101.

“Please quote incident number 3450 of Monday, July 30, when calling.

“I would also ask Charlie to get in touch with police or her family as soon as possible.

“They are very worried and want her home.”
