Racers can sprint to championship
Go-karting bosses at The Experience, Hillington, are launching a brand-new championship.
This new event is for keen karters to hone racing skills and even be in with a shout of being crowned king or queen of the track.
Every Monday in October, track bosses are hosting an Open Championship day where karters can take part in a Double Sprint and attempt to get the best time on the track.
Racers can enter as many times as they like by taking part in another Double Sprint during an Open Karting Championship Day.
At the end of the month, the top 10 times from each Open Championship Day will be announced, and the owners of these times will be invited to compete in the grand final on November 12.
Gerry Ross, general manager of The Experience, said“We’re really excited to introduce this new championship.
“We see a lot of great racers at The Experience and we wanted to give them the chance to ramp up the competition and really put their skills to the test.
“But you don’t need to be an experienced karter to take part, we think the championship will be an opportunity for those interested in karting to give it a go and coming back to try to beat your time will only help to improve your skills.”
