Care nurse who had child abuse photos is struck off
A care home nurse who shared images of children as young as five being abused has been struck off, writes Chris Taylor .
Married dad Stewart Taylor, 51, was caged after he downloaded the vile haul at his home in Ferguslie Park in Paisley.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) have now banned him from working in the health sector.
The fiend was locked up for 27 months when he was convicted at Paisley Sheriff Court.
NMC chairwoman Anne Booth revealed he will never work in care again.
She said:“The seriousness of Mr Taylor’s convictions is incompatible with ongoing registration.
“The panel noted that, save for his admissions, it had no evidence from Mr Taylor of insight, remorse or remediation.
“The panel was satisfied that he could not be trusted to practice as a registered nurse unrestricted in relation to vulnerable patients, in particular children, without there being a real risk of significant harm.
“The panel was also satisfied that nothing less than a striking off order would be sufficient to protect patients or to maintain public confidence in the profession.
“The panel recognised the likely impact of such an order on Mr Taylor upon his release from prison, including financial hardship.
“But it but concluded that Mr Taylor’s interests were substantially outweighed by the need to protect the public and to uphold the public interest.”
The beast stashed almost 600 indecent images of children aged between five and 14.
He was a qualified nurse at a care home in East Renfrewshire.
Taylor waited for his wife and two children to leave home before
