-

Detectives have praised victims of a sex fiend who was jailed for six years for his depraved campaign of abuse.

Sick Jason Love, 43, committed a series of sex attacks on three boys across Renfrew, Paisley and Glasgow between 1987 and 1999.

One of his victims was just three-years-old when he was abused by paranormal expert Love, who began offending aged just 12.

Judge Lord Kinclaven ordered the pervert to be locked up for six years at the High Court in Edinburgh earlier this week.

Yesterday detectives praised the bravery of his victims for helping to bring a conviction.

Detective Inspector Stuart Lees, of the Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: “Jason Love was a predatory individual who subjected young children to despicable sexual assaults over a prolonged period of time.

“I welcome his conviction and sentence and thank the victims who showed great courage to report his crimes and provide crucial evidence.

“Police Scotland is committed to supporting the victims of sexual offences and investigating these crimes, no matter when they occurred.

“I would also take the opportunity to acknowledge the hard work of the dedicated team who ultimately brought Love to court and justice for the victims.

“Anyone who ha s information or concerns about sexual crime should get in touch with Police Scotland on 101.

“Information can also be given to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
