Plea as tools are stolen from van

Cops are hunt­ing a tool thief who raided a Ren­frew van.

Po­lice say a cord­less saw and cash was nicked from the white Ford Tran­sit van as it sat in Sandy Road.

The theft is be­lieved to have hap­pened be­tween 4pm on Sat­ur­day, Novem­ber 3 and 11am on Mon­day, Novem­ber 5.

Of­fi­cers are ap­peal­ing for any­one who wit­nessed the in­ci­dent to come for­ward.

A Po l i c e S c o t l a n d spokes­woman said: “We are in­ves­ti­gat­ing theft of a cord­less saw and cash from a white Tran­sit van.

“If you saw any­one act­ing sus­pi­ciously or have any in­for­ma­tion in re­la­tion to the in­ci­dent I urge you to con­tact po­lice.”
