Hodson doesn’t expect to start against Dundee

Paisley Daily Express - - Paisley’s Past -

Lee Hodson admits he has a fight on his hands to reclaim his St Mirren starting spot.

But the Northern Irishman insists it can only be a good thing that there is competition for players across the Saints side.

Youngster Ethan Erhahon stepped up to the plate for the clash against Rangers last weekend, with Hodson ineligible to face his parent side.

And having been impressed by Erhahon’s display, Hodson says he would have no qualms if boss Oran Kearney stuck with the youngster for today’s basement battle against Dundee at Dens Park.

He said:“Ethan done well when he came in and now it is up to the manager what he does.

“If he decides to keep Ethan in the team then I can’t argue, he done well and he would deserve it.

“If there is competition in the team then that can only be a healthy thing.

“There is competition all over the park for places and that’s good. It keeps everyone on their toes.”

Honest Lee Hodson
