Girl, 3, injured after maniac motorist ploughs into car
Cops issue appeal after dodgy driver does a runner
A three-year-old girl was treated in hospital after a danger driver smashed into a car before fleeing the scene.
A 28-year-old man and his daughter were heading along Gleniffer Road, in Paisley, when the maniac motorist cut him up and caused a collision.
After the incident, which happened at 2.35pm on Sunday, the dodgy driver ran off towards a footpath.
The little girl was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children, in Glasgow, where she was kept in overnight for observation.
It’s understood her badly-shaken dad was also hurt in the accident.
When he got out to check on his daughter, he saw the driver of the other car running away and alerted the police.
Officers are now hunting the man and appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Inspector Tracy Harkins, of Paisley’s community policing team, said: “We are investigating a collision on Paisley’s Gleniffer Road at around 2.35pm on Sunday. A 28-year-old man and his three- year-old daughter were travelling along the road when another motorist cut in front of them causing a collision.
“The victim got out to check on his daughter and observed the driver of the other car head for a footpath nearby.
“The three-year-old girl was kept in hospital overnight and later released.
