Bus worker dies after horror accident
A bus worker has died after he was hit by a vehicle at a Renfrewshire depot.
The 43-year-old man, who has not been named, suffered significant head and leg injuries after he was hit by a bus at the McGill’s depot on Cochranemill Road, Johnstone.
He was rushed to Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital around 1am on Friday morning but sadly died in the early hours of Saturday.
A probe has been launched into the tragic incident.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said:“At around 12.50am on Friday, December 7, police were called to a report of a 43-year-old man seriously injured at a yard in Cochranemill Road, Johnstone.
“He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he died in the early hours of Saturday morning.
“The Health and Safety Executive have been informed and enquiries are ongoing.”
Company bosses say they are working with the authorities to establish exactly what happened. A trainee paralegal has been slapped with a restraining order for threatening to murder his ex-girlfriend.
Shaun Clark, 31, hounded Jeniffer Terris and whispered threats through her letterbox.
He was nabbed after he vowed to hurt the woman and hissed: “My life is now to kill you.”
But the creep walked free even after admitting the threats at Paisley Sheriff Court.
