Car park at Johnstone station to undergo resurfacing work

-

Rail bosses are advising motorists the car park at Johnstone station is closing for one month for resurfacing work.

ScotRail have said park and ride facilities at the station will be affected from Saturday, January 5, until Monday, February 4, to allow the work to take place.

Anyone who is using the station car park is asked to ensure they have removed their vehicles by 11:59pm on Friday, January 4.

Customers with reduced mobility whose travel plans may be affected are being urged to contact the ScotRail assisted travel team.

ScotRail head of customer operations, Phil Campbell, said:“Park & ride facilities, like the one at Johnstone, have proven vital in helping the local transport network grow. The work being carried out will benefit customers in the long term by ensuring a high standard of access to the station.

“However, while this work takes place, we appreciate that some adjustment to travel plans may be required.”
