Thorn and Orbis are the perfect match

- YOUTH FOOTBALL

Thorn Athletic 2005s are in safe hands now after bringing security firm Orbis on board as away strip sponsors.

The UK-wide vacant property protection company landed the opportunity to become an official sponsor after winning a 40-team football card which many other local businesses and individuals had supported.

Orbis is already the trusted partner for a number of local authorities and housing associations, as well as a large number of private sector organisations from large supermarkets chains to private property managers.

Johnstone side Thorn are delighted to have them on board.

Orbis business development manager Billy Reid said:“We are delighted to support the club’s fundraising efforts and even more delighted when we came out as winners from the other participants – it was the luck of the draw.

“It will be great to see the kids wearing the new kits bearing the company’s name and we are sure they will do us proud.”

Thorn 2005s have received their sharp looking new Nike kit and Iain McLure from the club said:“We would like to thank everyone who took a shot on the football card.

“The card sold quickly and we were delighted to have Orbis as the winners and the kit looks fantastic. Hopefully it will bring us some good luck for the remainder of the season.”
