Man set for trial over ‘unfit to drive’ charge
A man is facing trial accused of being unfit to drive because he was under the influence.
Anthony Dailly, of Craig Road, Neilston, is said to have been “unfit to drive through drink or drugs”in Main Street, Barrhead, on June 13 last year.
Dailly, 43, is charged with breaking the Road Traffic Act 1988 and is also alleged to have been in possession of cannabis, a class B drug, in the same street on the same day.
The case against Dailly called for the first time at Paisley Sheriff Court this week.
Dailly was not present but a letter pleading not guilty was entered on his behalf.
A trial has been set for April, with a pre-trial hearing scheduled for March, and Dailly has been told to appear at both hearings.
