Get ready for bubble trouble
One of Accord Hospice’s most popular fundraising events – the Bubble Rush – is back, and you can sign up now.
The event sees charity fundraisers dash through a sea of bubbles over a course of no less than five kilometres.
It starts in a sea of bubbles and features four bubble stations along the route, with cannons pumping out coloured foam to keep the fun going.
The emphasis is on fun and the course is family friendly, meaning people can run, jog, walk, dance or toddle through the foam.
Pushchairs and wheelchairs are more than welcome too. Accord says the event is not timed so no one is racing anyone.
The charity adds that the most important thing is that participants enjoy their time in the bubbles and finish with a big smile on their faces.
Bubblers do it for fun with friends and children and everyone gets a medal at the end.
Over the last two years the Bubble Rush has helped to raise more than £50,000 for Accord Hospice and 1,000 people have taken part.
Ken Mathie, Accord’s fundraising manager, said the event is one of its biggest of the year.
He said:“It has always been very successful for us,”he said. And it’s all about family fun.
“There are no age restrictions, all are welcome.” The event is organised by Glasgow’s Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice for Scottish Hospices and takes place at Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, on Sunday, May 5.
