Wing king Conor heads south to sign with Stranraer

St Mirren winger Conor O’Keefe has been snapped up by Stranraer just days after his release from the Paisley side.

The 20- year- old joined the Blues, bossed by former Saints defender Stevie Farrell, has agreed a deal at Stair Park until the end of the season.

The Buddies academy graduate made his debut in the 2017 Challenge Cup final, one of nine appearance­s for the Premiershi­p side, and also scored three goals in 11 outings whilst on loan at Annan Athletic in the first half of last year.

O’Keefe trained with both the Blues recently and has put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season.

He had been released by the St Mirren boss Oran Kearney on Wednesday night, alongside Jeff King and Dean Lyness.
