St Charles’ nurs­ery tots set­tle into new term and get ready for 50th cel­e­bra­tion

There were no fes­tive blues for the lit­tle ones at St Charles’ Nurs­ery as they got straight back into some fun learn­ing.

Young­sters and staff at the Rowan Street learn­ing hub, in Pais­ley, were de­lighted to be back and en­joyed play­ing with bricks, paint­ing and, of course, the sand pit.

Head­teacher Ju­dith Kirk said: “They also loved play­ing in the gar­den, us­ing the bal­ance bikes and check­ing the beds for any plants left after the hol­i­days.

“Ev­ery­one in St Charles’ Nurs­ery and Pri­mary are get­ting ready for the school’s Golden Ju­bilee on Jan­uary 22.

“We will be cel­e­brat­ing with a Mass in St Charles’ Church on Mon­day, Jan­uary 21 at 7pm.

“We are hav­ing an open evening for past pupils, staff and par­ents on Wed­nes­day, Jan­uary 23 and a fun day for all the chil­dren on Fri­day, Jan­uary 25.

“Peo­ple are in­vited to send in old pho­tos or mem­o­ries from their time in the school over the last 50 years.”
