- DAVID CAMPBELL

There were no festive blues for the little ones at St Charles’ Nursery as they got straight back into some fun learning.

Youngsters and staff at the Rowan Street learning hub, in Paisley, were delighted to be back and enjoyed playing with bricks, painting and, of course, the sand pit.

Headteacher Judith Kirk said: “They also loved playing in the garden, using the balance bikes and checking the beds for any plants left after the holidays.

“Everyone in St Charles’ Nursery and Primary are getting ready for the school’s Golden Jubilee on January 22.

“We will be celebrating with a Mass in St Charles’ Church on Monday, January 21 at 7pm.

“We are having an open evening for past pupils, staff and parents on Wednesday, January 23 and a fun day for all the children on Friday, January 25.

“People are invited to send in old photos or memories from their time in the school over the last 50 years.”
