United are delighted
Dundee United boss Robbie Neilson revealed he is delighted to have snapped up Cammy Smith after signing him from Saints.
Smith returned to Tannadice following a two- year spell in Paisley, joining the Tangerines as they push for the Premiership.
Neilson said: “Cammy will bring us real attacking intent. He can create and score goals, and he has the experience of winning the Championship previously.
“He is a good person, an excellent player and he adds quality to our team. I am pleased to have him signed up.”
Meanwhile, Smith admits he is delighted to be back on Tayside after finding first-team opportunities hard to come by at the Buddies this season.
He added: “It feels great to be here and once I knew United were interested my mind was made up. I know all about the club having played here on loan, but this time I feel like a United player.
“I am more experienced, more mature and I have grown both as a person and a player.
“The aim is obviously to get up into the Premiership, and I am ready to do what I can.”
