Man said he would kill expartner

-

A creep threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and a three-week-old child during a four-day stalking campaign.

Charles Morrison, 21, hounded Ashleigh McGinnigle with menacing calls and texts.

He warned he would hurt her and the tot during a slew of hate-filled messages.

Morrison admitted terrifying the pair during a hearing at Paisley Sheriff Court.

Sheriff David Pender called for reports and warned Morrison he faces a stern punishment.

He said:“I’m going to adjourn for a period of four weeks for a Criminal Justice Social Work Report to be prepared.

“You’ll be expected to comply with the social work department and return to court on the date you’re being given.”

Morrison preyed on Ms McGinnigle just days before Christmas.

He inundated her with abusive phone calls and threatening emails and texts.

He threatened to kill her and the child in the messages sent between December 18 and 21.

Details of the ordeal emerged after he pled guilty to targeting the victims.

Prosecutors dropped a charge of shouting, swearing and threatening another woman at a property in Paisley’s Linwell Crescent.

Morrison will be quizzed by social workers appointed by the court.

They will report back on his background and lifestyle and his feelings about the crime and prosecution.

Expert findings will be used to determine which punishment he will face.

Morrison, of nearby Well Street, has been ordered to return to the dock next month.
