Store says thanks as it gets set to close
Mothercare has thanked customers for their continued support after it was announced the retailer would be closing down its Paisley store.
The Causeyside Street shop is due to shut in the coming weeks as part of a major UK restructuring programme.
The Paisley store has launched a closing sale with all stock reduced to clear.
A spokeswoman said: “We’d like to thank all our customers in the area for their support and look forward to continuing to serve them at our Anniesland and St Enoch stores and online .
“The closing down sale is a great opportunity for shoppers to get some amazing bargains on last minute gifts and maternity, baby and toddler essentials.
“Our most popular ranges will sell out quickly, so we encourage all customers to come into the store as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
Mo t h e r c a re chief executive Mark NewtonJones commented last summer: “After a very challenging period for our business, we have now finalised arrangements to restructure and refinance the group, ensuring that the transformation of the Mothercare brand we started four years ago can now be completed.
“We have seen an unprecedented period for UK retail and we have not been alone in facing a number of strong headwinds.”
