AFTERNOON
Music, tea and much more are ingredients for a great time at Stow Brae
Dozens of musical fans took in lunch and a show at a special matinee performance.
The Church of Scotland Guild invited guests and performers to join them for the occasion in Paisley’s historic Stow Brae Kirk.
Members laid on a spread – with plenty of cake to go round.
Maureen Neil, of the guild, hailed those involved for making it a success.
She said: “We have one of the most active groups in the whole town.
“The hall was packed and that helped make it a really special afternoon.
“We had afternoon tea with all of the lovely homebaking made by our members.
“The performers were fantastic and ran through some of the big musical hits.
“All money raised goes back into the guild to help book guest speakers for our weekly meetings.
“Everybody is free to join us and will be made to feel very welcome.”
Musicians Darama took to the stage for the afternoon show.
They ran through classics from musicals across the ages.
The guild meets every Monday for social events.
Meetings feature guest speakers, lecturing on a range of topics.
Entertainers and singers are also invited to attend.
Fees are £12 for the year.
