Teen has to wait to learn her fate

-

A teen terror who has sparked mayhem in Paisley will have to wait until she discovers her fate.

Kirsteen Templeton, 19, was among a gang of four thugs who attacked and robbed Paul Finnie and daughter Nicole McKechan at a taxi rank in the town.

Templeton, of Glen Street, Paisley, admitted repeatedly kicking Ms McKechan on the body and robbing her of a handbag during the rampage which happened on August 4, last year.

Yesterday she appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court for a conduct review involving another offence, where she repeatedly caused a disturbance at her address by screaming, shouting, banging doors as well as allowing others to cause a rammy at the property in April.

She also admitted breaching bail and breaking an ASBO in February this year.

Defence agent Paul Lynch said: “She had been handed a Community Payback Order in respect of these matters and there was a difficult start to the order in that she missed her appointment.

“She has attended all subsequent appointments. She understands she is on a final warning. I am hoping to persuade the court to allow the order to continue and defer sentencing her on other matters.

“Ms Templeton is due to be sentenced for a deferred indictment and I would ask this review be continued to some time in August.”

Templeton was with David Brannigan, 19, Daniel Dickson, 19, and Chloe Robertson, 18, when they set upon Mr Finnie and his daughter Nicole, as they waited at a taxi rank at County Square.

All four are due to be sentenced to July 15 after they were convicted of charges of assault and robbery.

Sheriff Lyndsey Kooner said she was prepared to continue matters to allow this to be done.

Templeton will discover her punishment when she appears back at court on August 6.
