This is the moment an unflustered shopkeeper flicks down an armed raider’s mask.

Balwinder Singh, 43, leaned over and pulled down druggedup David Robb’s yellow and black bandana as he demanded money from the till.

The hapless thug then pulled out a “foot-long” kitchen knife – but legged it after he was confronted with a baseball bat.

Robb was jailed for more than 16 months at Paisley Sheriff Court for the desperate robbery bid.

Mr Singh said: “He was repeating ‘I need money.’

“I told him the ATM was outside.

“He pulled out the knife and told me he wanted the money from the till.”

Robb, 30, shuffled emptyhanded from the Lifestyle Express grocers in Renfrew’s Paisley Road on March 31.

He was traced days later – streaking down a street in nothing but a towel.
