ALISON RENNIE
An anonymous granof- two is keeping the children of Renfrew busy this summer hunting for beautifully painted rocks.
The painted pebble craze has kept youngsters in towns across Renfrewshire amused over the past few years.
Now it’s hit Renfrew, with one talented woman devoting her time to designing, painting then hiding the rocks around the town under the name Remo Rocks.
She said: “I saw another one in Linwood and my grandchildren loved collecting the rocks.
“I have painted for years. “All my qualifications are in art and I thought I could do something similar for Renfrew.
“I just started doing a couple and one of the local councillors got involved and helped set up my Facebook page for me.
“It’s been going really well since then.”
The gran, who wants to stay anonymous, gets the rocks in bulk bags from B&Q and builders’ merchants.
