Abduction accused faces trial

-

A teen allegedly abducted his ex-girlfriend and carried out a knife attack on her that left her scarred for life.

Kieran Robertson, 19, is accused of detaining Abbey Stewart against her will in a flat at Stock Street, Paisley.

Prosecutors claim that, on March 29, he behaved in a threatening or abusive way by shouting, swearing and acting aggressively towards Miss Stewart.

He is also alleged to have assaulted her with a knife by striking her with the weapon, leaving her badly injured and permanently disfigured.

The final charge he faces is that he wilfully or recklessly destroyed or damaged Miss Stewart’s phone.

The case against Robertson called publicly for the first time at Paisley Sheriff Court this week.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, and the case was adjourned until later this month for a trial to take place.
