The festival season comes to a close this month as some of the country’s biggest acts prepare to take to the stage for the last major event in Glasgow.

Glasgow Summer Sessions, now in its seventh year, will see three huge headliners perform at Bellahouston Park.

Following an incredible TRNSMT festival, which saw 150,000 music fans descend on Glasgow Green for three days, gig- goers now have Glasgow Summer Sessions to look forward to, as it returns for its biggest year yet.

Starting with a bang, The Cure, following a 27-year absence from the Scottish live scene, make a return to Glasgow on August 16.

The band’s appearance is part of a very select and special run of headline spots at major festivals all over the world this year to celebrate a career now entering its fifth decade, making this a show that you definitely will not want to miss.

On August 17, the Foo Fighters will return to Glasgow – four years since their last performance in Scotland.

The Foo Fighters, who are one of America’s biggest rock bands, are set to entertain the Glasgow crowd with a euphoric, rock-fuelled set.

This will be a Saturday night to remember for the lucky fans who managed to bag a ticket for the sold out show.

Meanwhile, returning to Glasgow after their show at the SSE Hydro in January, is The 1975 on August 25.

Cementing their position as one of Britain’s biggest and most exciting bands and following a headline UK tour, The 1975 are showing no signs of slowing down.

Having released consecutive eradefining, chart-topping records since 2013, The 1975 are sure to put on a showstopping performance at the Summer Sessions.

With new music due imminently, The 1975 are the perfect band to close an epic summer of music at Scotland’s festivals.

Glasgow is not the only city enjoying the last of the festival season as Edinburgh is set to hold it’s very own Summer Sessions events throughout August.

The capital city will enjoy an incredible nine days of music as Summer Sessions returns to Princes Street Gardens, with a backdrop like no other – Edinburgh Castle.

Headliners include Florence + the Machine, CHVRCHES, Primal Scream, Lewis Capaldi and more, for a truly unforgettable gig during Edinburgh’s buzzing festival period.
