Sign up for free workshop session to help young people living in Renfrewshire
A charity that supports care experienced young people in Renfrewshire is holding an open workshop.
Communities That Care’s Listen and Learn session is aimed at helping community leaders, youth workers, corporate parents, third sector partners and the wider community to better understand the issues faced by young people who have experience of the care system.
A spokeswoman for the charity said:“If you work with or support children and young people, are passionate about improving outcomes and reducing stigma for young people growing up in care, or just wish to hear first hand from care experienced young people about what life is like for them, please join us for this free informative workshop.”
She added:“We continue to develop these workshops, so even if you have been in previous years, you are welcome to come again.
“Places are going fast for these sessions, so sign up soon to secure your place.
“Please feel free to forward the invitation to colleagues, volunteers, connected business partners and community groups you work with.
“The sessions are free but we ask that if you sign up but are later unable to attend, please let us know in advance to avoid the charity paying unnecessary costs and to free up your place for someone else.”
