Pupils are helping to spread the Christmas message to shoppers at a popular Paisley fairtrade store.

Staff from Rainbow Turtle, on Gauze Street approached Mary Russell School in Paisley to see if pupils there would like to help them decorate one of their windows for Christmas.

They were only too happy to help and the impressive display is now on show for all to see.

Art teacher Claire Ferguson said: “We were asked by Rainbow Turtle to make a window display that would not only be eyecatching but have a theme of sustainability.

“A wide range of year groups and classes were involved in making different parts of the snowmen and working with each other.

“It’s been a fantastic project to be a part of because it not only creates direct links with the SQA Skills for Work courses and visual merchandising, but also sustainable learning and thinking about how to promote
