Police hunt for two thugs after bloodied man is found in street

A man was found covered in blood in the street after he was attacked by two thugs.

Emergency crews rushed to Glen Street, Paisley at around 10pm on Monday night to reports of a man lying injured in the road.

A 35- year- old man was discovered with superficia­l injuries and taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment and later released.

It’s understood neighbours saw the man being battered by two yobs in the roadway and now cops have launched a manhunt to identify the culprits.

A Police Scotland spokeswoma­n said: “Police received a report of an injured man in Glen Street, Paisley at around 8pm on Monday night.

“The man was discovered with superficia­l injuries and taken to hospital for treatment.

“Further enquires have revealed the man had been assaulted by two other men a short time before.”

She added: “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen the incident or may have informatio­n in relation to it to get in touch.

“If you have dash cam footage from the area then we would like to hear from you.”

Meanwhile, police are investigat­ing unexplaine­d incidents at flats in Paisley’s

Montgomery.

On both Sunday and Monday evening, six men were seen getting out of a dark Audi and a white Transit van and running into the block.

Although no crime has been reported, police are appealing for informatio­n about the bizarre behaviour.

A force spokeswoma­n said: “We received reports that a group of men exited two vehicles in Montgomery

Road and ran into flats on both Sunday and Monday night.

“At this time no crime reports have been made however, if you saw anything suspicious in the area then we would like to hear from you.

“If you have any informatio­n which may be useful, please get in touch with officers.”
