He said: “You probably know what I want to say as my contract expires. I would like to say goodbye to all of you.
“I have already got a lot of nice messages from you which makes me so happy and I appreciate them a lot.
“I have had such a good time over the last 18 months. And I have enjoyed every single moment on and off the pitch.
“I’ll never forget the brilliant people who work for St Mirren and the brilliant supporters as well.
“So guys, thank you for everything and I wish you great moments in the future.”
But the keeper refused to give supporters closure and instead he teased fans that this may not be the end after all.
He added: “It was my pleasure to be part of this great club. Thank you and never say never, maybe one day we will meet in the future again. So thank you and bye bye.”
