Police seek two men after car is set on fire
Cops probing a deliberate car blaze want to quiz two men seen in the area around the time of the fire.
A black Volkswagen Golf was left with “significant damage” after it was torched in Clarence Street, Paisley, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Emergency crews raced to the scene around 4.20am after neighbours reported the motor was in flames in the street.
After tackling the blaze, fire investigators established it had been started on purpose and a criminal investigation was launched.
Detectives probing the incident last night said they are keen to trace two men spotted in the area around the time of the fire.

Volkswagen Golf motor vehicle was deliberately set on fire in Clarence Street, Paisley, at around 4.20am on Sunday.
“The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service who deemed it to have been started wilfully.
“The car sustained significant damage as a result.”
He added: “While our enquiries into this incident are at an early stage we have established that two men were in and around the area around the time it happened.
“We are very keen to speak to them as they may hold vital information in the investigation.
“The first male is described as wearing a blue hooded top and light coloured bottoms, while the second male is described as wearing a black hooded top and light coloured top.
“If you saw anything suspicious then we would like to hear from you.
“If you have any information at all in relation to this incident then please contact us immediately.
“Setting fire to a motor vehicle can be very dangerous and result in serious consequences not only for members of the public but for those actually setting the fire.”
