Assault trial date
A man is facing prosecution amid claims he assaulted his partner at a house in Paisley.
Peter Chappell, 40, is accused of attacking Ms Jamie Durn at a property in Woodvale Drive on January 25.
Mr Chappell pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court earlier this week.
Prosecutors allege Mr Chappell assaulted his partner by seizing her by hair, pulling her to the ground and dragging her along the ground and kicking her on the body.
He is also said to have behaved in a threatening and abusive manner by repeatedly shouting and swearing.
He w a s re l e a s e d on bail with special conditions that he does not approach or contact the Ms Durn.
He is expected to appear for trial on May 7 this year with a pre-trial hearing arranged for April 21.
